Hi student!

Take a break from studying and get by far the coolest patch of the year.

Students hanging out at the campus lobby. When students donate blood, they will receive a patch.

How Do I Get The Patch?

It’s as easy as dropping out of courses:

  1. Find a donation site closest to you
  2. Come over
  3. Take the patch

Free Patch and Excellent Snack

The Blood Service gives all students the most meaningful patch of the year when they donate blood. Additionally, you’ll get an excellent coffee and snack service as a bonus after the blood donation.

Since everything is more fun together, bring your classmates along to donate blood! 😉

How To Donate Blood?

  • Find your nearest donation location and book an appointment, or come by spontaneously. You can always drop in and ask about available times while passing by!
  • Please complete the electronic health questionnaire on the day of your appointment or, at the earliest, on the day before.
  • Bring ID with you at the blood donation site, e.g. your driving licence, passport, or government-issued ID card.
  • Eat and drink as usual on the day of donation, but avoid heavy meals just before donation.
  • Let the nurse know right at the start of the interview that you are a student.
  • The nurse will review your health questionnaire and check your hemoglobin level from a fingertip sample.
  • The blood donation itself takes about ten minutes.
  • Enjoy coffee and snacks after your donation.
  • Relax and enjoy the rest of your day.

Are You Donating Blood For The First Time?

If you’ve never donated blood before, you can start by checking if you are eligible to donate. First-timers should plan to spend about an hour for the whole donation process. If possible, try to arrive well before closing time and avoid booking the last appointment of the day, so you have time to rest and enjoy your coffee afterward.

First-time donors will receive an eco-friendly and super stylish Lifesaver bag!
