You can now join the Stem Cell Registry at Blood Service donation centers
Joining the Stem Cell Registry is now easier than ever. You can conveniently join the registry at any Finnish Red Cross Blood Service location. You’re welcome to stop by just to join the registry, or you can combine your visit with blood donation.

The Stem Cell Registry consists of volunteers who may be matched as donors for seriously ill patients. You can join the registry if you are 18–35 years old and in good general health. When you join, your tissue type will be recorded in the registry. Joining does not mean you’ll donate immediately – you live your life as usual, and we’ll contact you if you’re a perfect match for someone. Each year, about 40 registry members get the chance to donate stem cells.
You can still join by ordering a sample kit to your home at: veripalvelu.fi/en/stem-cell-registry.
This improvement makes it easier for more potential lifesavers to get involved. At the same time, we also welcome new blood donors!
