Red Cross Week 4–10 May celebrates volunteers
Red Cross Week is an annual theme week organised by the Finnish Red Cross, celebrated in May from 4 to 10 May 2026. The week culminates on Red Cross Day on 8 May, the birthday of the organisation's founder Henri Dunant.
This year’s theme is volunteering. The aims of the theme week include raising awareness of the work of the Red Cross and inspiring new people to get involved as volunteers. Blood donors and members of the Stem Cell Registry are vital volunteers for the Blood Service and the organisation as a whole.
Happy Red Cross Week to all volunteer blood donors and members of the Stem Cell Registry – Thank you for helping!
