Blood donation is Wonderfully easy

Take part in the Wonderfully Easy campaign and you can win a 70 € gift card to the Finnish Red Cross online shop! Read the detailed instructions below.

#WonderfullyEasy – join in and make an impact with ease

Donating blood is wonderfully easy, and now taking part is even easier. In the Wonderfully Easy campaign, running from 26 January to 14 February 2026, we aim to inspire both current and new blood donors – and make doing good fun and visible. Join the campaign and you can win a 70 € gift card!

Choose one or more ways:

  1. Donate blood
  2. Encourage a friend to donate blood
  3. Tell a friend how easy blood donation is
  4. Use the campaign hashtags in your social media posts (#IhananHelppoa, #UnderbartEnkelt or #WonderfullyEasy) and tag @Veripalvelu in your post
  5. Share the campaign posts on your own channels
Every action is valuable and important, because even a small encouragement can lead to a life‑saving blood donation.

Draw

Among everyone who uses the campaign hashtag (#IhananHelppoa, #UnderbartEnkelt or #WonderfullyEasy) between 26 January and 15 February 2026, two gift cards worth 70 € to the Finnish Red Cross online shop will be drawn.

Here’s how to take part in the draw:

  1. Take part in the campaign in at least one way (for example donate blood, encourage a friend, or share campaign content).
  2. Post it on your own social media channel. Please note that your account must be public.
  3. Add the campaign hashtag in the language of your choice to your post and tag Veripalvelu (@Veripalvelu).
  4. The draw will be held on 16 February 2026 at 12:00, and we will contact the winners personally.
  5. The draw is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by any social media platform or other third party. The platforms are not responsible for the draw. The draw is organised by Veripalvelu.

This is how easy blood donation is

  1. Book an appointment or just drop by.
  2. A nurse will go through the health questionnaire with you.
  3. Relax. The blood donation itself takes only about ten minutes.
  4. Enjoy the refreshments and take the rest of the day easy.

Blood donor = lifesaver

Donated blood is used to produce blood components for hospitals, where they are vital for patients such as accident victims, cancer patients, new mothers, and surgical patients. This is why voluntary blood donors are an invaluable help to those in need.

This year, 22,000 new blood donors are needed to ensure that Finland has a sufficient and diverse donor base to safeguard patient care now and in the future. At the moment, only about 3 percent of Finnish adults donate blood annually — and that is too few. Most of us are eligible to donate blood!
