The Finnish Red Cross Blood Service (FRCBS) has over 60 years experience of collection, processing, storage and distribution of blood cells. Research and development has enabled us to provide state of the art products and services.

The know-how of our scientists and a strong patent portfolio enables the development of regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy.

In addition to blood products, we provide stem cell and tissue services, clinical laboratory services and distribution of pharmaceutical products. We have a logistics infrastructure and supply chain management systems enabling 24/7 availability of blood and pharmaceutical products throughout the country.

Our operations comply with the Finnish Acts on Blood Services, Human Tissues and Cells and Medicinal Products and the corresponding EU legislation. Accreditations cover our cord blood bank (NetCord-FACT), clinical laboratory services (EN ISO 15189, EN ISO/IEC 17025) and histocompatibility testing (EFI).
