Jukka Rautonen receives the honorary title of Professor

Jukka Rautonen, MD, docent, the Chief Executive of the Finnish Red Cross Blood Service (FRCBS), has been awarded the honorary title of Professor. Dr Rautonen has been the CEO of the FRCBS since 2001. Previous CEOs of the FRC Blood Service were Professor Harri Nevanlinna (1948–1988) and Professor Juhani Leikola (1988–2001).

The honorary title of Professor is awarded to a citizen in public recognition of his service to society. The President of the Republic of Finland awarded the honorary title of Professor to Dr Rautonen on 11 June 2010.
