Finnish Red Cross Blood Service goes live with ePROGESA Blood Bank Software management supplied by MAK-SYSTEM

The Finnish Red Cross Blood Service, went live on ePROGESA on March 10, 2008. The ePROGESA Web-based solution was implemented into the 17 fixed locations and several mobile units across the country. The deployment includes a unique centralized database and mobile laptops using on-line EDGE communication.

Mrs Ritva Toivanen, Senior Application Manager at the Finnish Red Cross Blood Service, explained: “The Blood Service and MAK-SYSTEM have been successfully working together as a team in this project. ePROGESA is running to the satisfaction of our organization and the users have provided positive feedback. The ePROGESA project gave us the opportunity to evaluate our long-term objectives and find a solution that would meet both our current and future requirements. One of the major reasons the ePROGESA solution was selected is that it provides cutting-edge technology. Using N-Tier, Web-based architecture is a great advantage, as ePROGESA is providing full clustering, scalability, and fail-over capability."

Finnish Red Cross Blood Service's Director of Supply Management Mrs Pia Westman confirmed that the blood bank operations will benefit from ePROGESA and its many features: “We are proud to be at the forefront in deploying an integrated ePROGESA solution across the organization. I would like to thank, both our staff and the MAK-SYSTEM team for the smooth implementation and active contribution in the project.”
